WAINGARO.

Opening of Schools.—The schools at Waingaro aud Te Akatea after being closed for six weeka on the removal of Mr Lourie, who was promoted to the ischool at Hukerenui South, were opened on Monday the [3rd inst, the Board of Eduction having appointed Mr Goodwin to the position, and Mr J. K. McDonald, local manager of the V/aingaro school, accorded him a cordial welcome. Divine Service. The Rev. S. Buchanan, of Nearuawahia, held a Divine service at the residecce of Mr J. K. McDonald, on Sunday the Ist inst,, and the service was enjoyed by a good congregation,—(Own Correspondent).
