Jul Public Notice is hereby given that the Ngaroto Drainage Board intend, at a MEETING of the said Board to be held at their office at Te Awainutu at 5 p.m. on SATURDAY, 30th September. 1899, to confirm a resolution by way of Special Order passed at a Special Meeting of the said Board on Friday, Ist September, 1899, making a Special Rate to provide interest and sinking fund for a loan of £SOO to be raised under the provisions of " The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," and " The Land Drainage Act, 1893," such Special Rate to be an aunual recurring Rate during the currency of such Loan, and to be levied on the lands within the Ngarpto Drainage District classed as receiving benefit from the construction of drainage works (as shown in the schedulo to the said resolution) as follows :- One Penny in the Pound on the rateable value of lands in Class I. ; One Halfpenny in the Pound on the rateable value of lands in Class 11. ; and One-eighth oe a Penny in the Pound on the rateable value of lands in Class lIL, and to be payable on the first day of December in each and every year during a period of twenty-six years, or until the Loan is fully paid off. The first of such payments to be made on Ihe first day of December next. A copy of the proposed Special Order is deposited and open to inspection during office hours at the office of the Board at Te Awamutu. Dated at Tc Awamutu this sixtli day of September, 1899.
