The police have been warned that there are three escapees on board the steamer Rippiughaiii Grange, which left New Caledonia on Thursday and calls here to-day for coal. The Government has decided to supply gratis a copy of the New Zealand Justice of the Peace Handbook, prepared by Mr Haselden, S M., to any J.P. who makes application for it.
