(BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION). Auckland, Last Right. At the Supreme Court Criminal Sessions, Mr Justice Conolly expressed reeret at the large number ot charges. There were of offeuces against females which were becoming alarmingly fierpieut. Dowling, charged with attempting to suicide was ordered to find recognizances in £25, and to come up for sentence when called upon. Patrick Loughlran, charged with being found in possession of house-breaking implements, was sentenced to three years. John McDonald, with breaking and eatering at Tepuna, Tauranga, was senteuced to eighteen months. John Connelly,charged with forging, pleaded guilty, and was remanded for the report of the probation officer. G. P. Porter, charged with false pretences, was sentenced to three years' imprisonment.
