Mr Alex. Aitken's Weekly Report. Heavy consignments from all directions to-day, in fact sales are as heavy now as they were in December. All lines retain values excepting butter, eges and pumpkins. Oamaru potatoes are still selling at 15s ton less than landed coat. Onions rising. Farmers' cheese extremely scarce at 4jd. Bacon rising. Oats, bran, sharps and wheat, weaker. Poultry arc not quite so plentiful, but only fat birds realise big prices. Ducks rising, likewise good geese, both are wanted. Dressed pork sells readily up to 3£d. Well-bred young pigs ore still eagerly snapped up at forward rates.
