Amtbo Police Court, to-day, a man na_ed Robert Jinnieson, about 36 years of age, was charged that on March 23rd he did a.ssault his wife by striking her on the arm with a chair. Tho Bench sentenced him to two mouths' imprisonment. At Messrs Hunter and Nolan's yard to-day, the racehorse Goodshot, by Derringer—Misfortune, was offered at auction, but failed to fetch the reserve. Mr E. D. O'Horko's polo pony Gisborno was sold to Mr Adams for £G 10s. Mrs O'Rorke's hack Irene was knocked down for £lO to Mr Stublfiy. At the Sharemarket, sales to-day were made in Britannias at 3s 3d ; Alburnia Easts, Sd . Wuihi Welcomes, 3d; Tandems, Gd; Bunker's Hills, 3s ; Four-in-hands, Is 9d.
