THE RAID COMMITTEE.

London, February 27. BEFORE the House of Commons Enquiry Committee Mr Laboucbere examined Mr Cecil libodes. but his questioning was profitless. Mr Rhodes was frank in bis replies except where third parlies were concerned, and he frequently turned the tubles on his inquisitor, espcciully when, after reading Mr Labouuhere's speech on the Cretan question, he declared, "'Your argument on that subject covers the Band case." Mr Rhodes detailed the Band grievances, and acquitted Mr Cbamberliin of any knowledge of the intended raid. The members of the Committee frequently laughed at Mr Rhodes' successful replios.
