DEATH OF MR L. EHRENFRIED.
In our last issue we published a telegram announcing the death of Mr Lewis Ehrerfricd, which took place in Auck land on Friday last. The deceased was an extensi\ e brewer and owner of public house property. He had experienced his full share of the ups and downs of colouial life. Previous to coining to the Thames and starting a brewery, he and his brother had met with commercial reverses on the West Coast. When fortune smiled upon them at the Thames they paid oil" in full .Ml their liabi ities. In li:S5 the deceased bought the brewery and business of Messrs Whitsoo and Sons, Auckland, which he has carried on successessfnlly. The funeral took place on Sunday, at the Cemetery, Auckland, at which there was a very large and representative attendance, which mtut be taken as an acknowledgment of the liberality and upright life ot the deceased. He leaves a wife and one daughter to mourn their loss, also a number of nephews and nieces.
