SHOOTING ACCIDENT.

MAN INJURED AT GLADSTONE. A young man named Howard Hopkins, of 27.' Aurora Street, Petone, is in the Croydon Private Hospital, Cartertony with' a bullfet wound in his thigh, received when out shobting rabbits with his, brother near Gladstone on SundAyi afternoon. The two brothers were; proceeding along a river flat when Edward Arthur Hoskins, who was carrying a .22/calibre rifle, stumbled and fell. The rifle discharged and the bultet entered his brother’s thigh. The injured man was conveyed to Carterton. Hia condition is reported to be not serious.
