MASTEBTON CLUB SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIP.
FINAL GAME ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
The Masterton Indoor Bowling Club continued the singles championship last week and there are only eight players left in. H. Thompson is the only one with two lives. To-morrow’s games will find the finalists and the final will be played at 7.30 p.m. on Wednesday at the conclusion of which a social gathering will bo held. The following are last week’s results:— Reeves beat Nuttall, 21/11; Thompson beat Edwards, 20/14; Davies beat Vincent 22/15; Wenham beat Lewis 22/18; Kennard beat Stains 18/8; C. Roff beat Leigh 22/14; Kennard beat Davies 20/13; Hendry beat Curtin 24/18; Finlayson beat Fenton 25/16; Reeves beat C. Roff 15/14; Thompson beat Reeves 24/11.
In the final of the eolts’ singles Kennard beat Curtis 26/17. It was a splendid game and was very even until the 18th. head ■ when Kennard drew away. To-morrow at 7 p.m. No. 1 Hendry v. Ferguson; No. 2, Edwards v. Leigh. The following players must also be present and their games arranged at the conclusion of the above: Kennard, Wenham, Finlayson, Thompson. All club members are urged to be present on Wednesday for the soc al gathering and presentation of trophies.
