NEW ZEALAND TOURNEY CONCLUDED. EASTERN SOUTHLAND WIN. INVERCARGILL, September 5. By beating Wellington by three goals Jo nil in the final of the Dominion women’s hockey tournament today, Eastern Southland A won the “K” Cup for the seventh time since 1930. Wellington won the Floyd Shield and Canterbury tjjie Holden Cup. The Wellington team in the final played better than was expected and there was little difference between the teams on play. Eastern’s forwards were more effective because they placed their passes better and kept to their positions reasonably well.— (P.A.)
