INFANTILE PARALYSIS.
NO FURTHER CASES REPORTED ■ IN WAIRARAPA. FOURTEEN PATIENTS UNDER TREATMENT. The infantile paralysis position in the Wairarapa yesterday remained unchanged, no further cases being reported in the district. Fourteen patients are under treatment at the Masterton Hospital. REPORTS ELSEWHERE. PALMERSTON NORTH BABY AFFECTED. PALMERSTON N., April 30. Another case of infantile paralysis, that of a fifteen-month child, was notified yesterday.—(P-A.) NELSON'S FIRST CASE. PATIENT FROM BACK COUNTRY. NELSON, April 30. The first case of infantile paralysis in the Nelson district has been admitted to hospital from Owen River, 50 miles from Nelson. The victim is a girl aged 11, who has moderate paralysis of one leg.—(P.A.) MAORI ATTACKED. * OPOTIKI NOTIFICATION. OPOTIKI, April 30. Another case of infantile paralysis has occurred in the borough, the patient being a Maori, aged 17 years.— (P.A.)
