DRUIDS’ LODGE.

BUSINESS AT FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. The fortnightly meeting of the Masterton Druids’ Lodge was held in the Foresters’ Hall last evening, the A.D. Bro. A. Newman presiding over a large attendance of brethren. Visitors who were present from Totara and Fernleaf lodges were given a hearty welcome. The District President, Bro. F. 8. Clarke, was present and installed the various officers into their chairs. The officers thanked the lodge for their election to office and expressed their intention to work in the interest of the lodge. The Christmas Tree Committee reported that all arrangements were complete for the function next Saturday. Bro. F. Pickering reported on a meeting of the United Friendly Societies’ Dispensary Board. Bro. H. Nicholson, a past secretary of Stonehenge Lodge, was given a hearty lodge welcome. Bro. E. McKenzie, secretary of Totara Lodge was congratulated on his completion of 25 years’ service as secretary. Congratulations were extended to the District President, Bro. F. S. Clarke, for the able manner in which h© had carried out his duties during his term of office. Four candidates were nominated for the office of District President, and a ballot was held for the position. The A.D. extended to the officers and members of the lodge the season’s greetings. At the conclusion of lodge business the visitors, officers ajid members were entertained at supper.
