SWEET ROSE WINS PUPUKE PLATE. ST. ANDREW’S TO KING REY. AUCKLAND, November 30. The Takapuna Jockey Club’s spring meeting concluded at Ellerslie to-day in showery weather. The track was holding. There was a fair attendance and the totalisator handled £27,602 10s, compared with £21,132 10s on the second day last year, an increase of £6,470. 'l’he total for the meeting was £58,953 10s, an increase of £10,158 on last year. Sweet Rose gained a surprise victory in the Pupuke Plate to return a win dividend of over a quarter of a century.
