TRUST AFFAIRS.
BUSINESS AT MONTHLY MEETING’.
The monthly meeting of the Masterton Trust Lands Trust was held last night, the chairman, Mr. J. Macfarlane Laing presiding. There were also present: Messrs H. P. Hugo, E. G. Eton, A. O. Jones, CL* Grey, L. J. Taylor, R. Krahagen and D. Caselberg.
On the motion of Mr. Jones it was decided to inform the Technical High School Association, regarding a tion at the annual meeting of the Trust recommending scholarship grants to pupils who had not matriculated, that the matter had been held over on account of the amalgamation proposals and that it was etill advisable to adopt that attitude until the, amalgamation was actually in operation. In the meantime the cases of students of the Technical School who made application for grants would be treated on their merits.
The Local Government Loans Board advised that it had sanctioned the raising of a loan by the Trust of £l9OO for building purposes. It was explained that the gum was part of the £lO,OOO building loan authorised in 1933. The treasurer reported a credit balance of £330 Ils 3d. Accounts totalling £164 5s 3d (including £l5O for free school books for primary schools) were passed.
