A GREAT SINGER.
CHOSTIAKOFF COMING TO MASTERTON. APPEARANCE AT REGENT THEATRE. Senia Chostiakoff, the noted Russian tenor and former soloist with the Don Cossack Choir, who comes to the Regent Theatre for a three-night season starting to-morrow, has been acclaimed in many appearances in other parts of New Zealand as the possessor of a magnificent voice used with commanding artistry. A singer of versatile power, with a repertoire of wide and interesting range, M. Chostiakoff is as happy in his rendering of thi folk songs Of fiis native country (and in oUier simple melodies as in operatic hire which make exacting demands on vocal skill. Many Masterton people who have heard him over the radio no doubt will welcome gladly the opportunity of hearing him sing from the Regent stage. He is credited: with a most engaging personality and his visit is a musical event of outstanding interest. Seats for the season may be reserved at W, G. Perry’s, Queen Street.
