HALT AT PUMPING STATION. BAGDAD, October 6. Miss Jean Batten landed at the Irak Petroleum Company’s pumping station midway between Damascus and Bagdad. She is expected at Bagdad tomorrow. BASRA TO KARACHI. (Received Wednesday, 11.55 p.m.) BASRA, October 7. Miss Batten arrived 3.50 a.m. (Greenwich mean time) and left for Karachi at 4.45 a.m.
