LODGE RUGBY.

HAWKE’S BAY RETAIN QUIGLEY

The annual Lodge Rugby match between Hawke’s Bay Oddfellows and Wairarapa members, under the auspices of the Loyal Dannevirke and Loyal Masterton lodges, was played at Dannevirke on Saturday last. A large and appreciative crowd witnessed a stirring game. Hawke's Bay won by 14 points to 5. The Dannevirke Lodge entertained the visitors at dinner at the Masonic Hotel, and this was followed by a dance in the evening at the Oddfellows’ Hall. Prior to the Wairarapa members leaving on Sunday afternoon, the lady members of Dannevirke Lodge provided afternoon tea, which brought a very pleasant annual social event to a close.
