OBITUARY.
MR. HENRY FRANCIS FROST.
The death occurred at the Masterton Hospital yesterday afternoon of Mr. Henry Francis G. Frost, at the age of 58 years. The late Mr. Frost was admitted to hospital the previous night and his death will come as a great shock to his many friends. Born at Newinarket-on-Fergus, County Clare, Ireland, the second son of the late Dr. E. Frost, J.P., of ”Beach Lawn,” Mr. Frost was educated at St. Flannal’s School, Emus and at Glasneven College, Dublin. The early part of his life was spent in South Africa and after some time in Canada Mr. Frost came to New Zealand, arriving here in 1909 and settling in Nelson. Later he went to Whangarei, thence to Wanganui and for the last 3j years he had resided in Masterton, where he was orchard instructor for the Department of Agriculture. He was an honorary member of the Masterton Beautifying Society and was an enthusiastic golfer, being a .member of the committee of the Masterton Golf Club. He is survived by a widow, three sisters, and a brother,, Colonel W. A. Frost, 0.8. E., R.A.M.C., of Hong Kong. Two other brothers predeceased him, Colonel A. F. Frost, R.A.M.C., of Reading, England, and the Very Rev. Father Edmund Frost, Rector of St. Xavier’s College, Kew, Melbourne. The sympathy of a wide circle of friends will be extended to tho bereaved relatives. The funeral will take place to-day, leaving St. Patrick’s Church at 2 p.m. for the Masterton Cemetery. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 7 a.m.
