JUVENILE CONCERT.

PERFORMANCE IN PARISH HALL. The St. Matthew’s Parish Hall was crowded to the doors last night when a grand concert in aid of the Y.M.C.A. Ladies’ Auxiliary was presented by Masterton children. A high standard of performance was attained throughout and the evening was greatly enjoyed by one and all. Included among the contributors were the pupils of Mrs Edna Paterson and Misses Merle Dickson, Nola Woods, Berna Stimpson, Betty Coleman and Connie Donald. The programme was as follows:— Choruses, St. Matthew’s Boys’ Choir; recitation, Jack Turner; “Mexican Serenade,” pupils of Mrs Edna Paterson; soloists, Lionel Kaan, Margaret Thomson; toe dance, Beulah Hirst; violin solo, Russell Reynolds; songs, Ruth Mac Kay; skipping dance, Cathie White; “Little Grey. Bonnet,” pupils of Mrs Edna Paterson, soloist Ellen Corskie; operatic dance, Paddy Turner; human pyramids, Y.M.C.A. Boys; duo, “Peter Pan and Wendy,” Josephine Hanley and Margaret Thomson; playette, boys of Hadlow Preparatory School; song, Beverley Kaan; “Boy Blue,” pupils of Miss Berna Stimpson; character dance, pupils of Miss Berna Stimpson; song in character, Beulah Hirst; operatic dance, Kathleen Dallas; pianoforte duet, May Daynes and Joan Stanley; recitation, Lionel Kaan; song in character, Paddy Turner; routine tap dance, Yvonne Saunders; ventriloquisni, Mr. V. Wilton; novelty dance, Dorothy Brown; glittering wands, Y.M.C.A. girls; songs, Gillion Gooder; one-act play, “Peter the Clock,” pupils of Miss Betty Coleman. Mrs W. G. Perry played the accompaniments.

Mr. A. E. Bate expressed thanks to all who had helped in any way towards the success of the concert.
