FIXTURES AND REFEREES i FOR SATURDAY. WAIRARAPA COMPETITIONS. The following are the referees and fixtures for Saturday’s Rugby games in the Wairarapa: — Seniors: Red Stars v. Carterton, at Carterton, Mr. H. J. McKenzie; Old Boys v. Greytown, at Memorial Park No. 1, Mr. F. Deans, Martinborough v. Featherston, at Martinborough, Mr. J. Blake; Gladstone v. Dalefield, at Gladstone, Mr. W. Grantham. Thirds: Masterton v. High School at High School, Mr. H. Evans; Red Stars v. Featherston, at Memorial Park No. 2, Mr. A. S. McWhinnie; Old Boys v. Carterton, at Carterton, Mr. H. Matson. Fourths: Carterton v. Greytown, at Grey town, Mr. P. Reid; High School v. Martinborough, at Greytown, Rev. H. White. No junior matches will be played as the Wairarapa junior representatives play Wellington, at Wellington, this Saturday. SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. RED STAR THIS YEAR’S WINNERS. The Wairarapa Rugby Union has decided to close the senior championship for the season. Red Star are the winners, with nine wins and two losses, scoring eighteen championship points. Greytown is next, with fourteen championship points. Red Star last won the senior championship in 1932. The union has decided to commence the Redmond Cup matches on Saturday.
