COSY THEATRE.

MATINEE iAND “ANYTHING GOES.” A range of special attractions for children including “Popeye himself” is promised at the Cosy Theatre today at 2.15 p.m. The principal picture is “Destry Rides Again,” featuring Tom Mix and cartoon and comedy items are included. The new programme to be presented in the evening is headed by “Anything Goes,” a musical play the cast of which includes Bing Crosby in the male lead, singing, it is said, the best songs in the best film of his career. Opposite him is Ethel Merman, playing and singing. Heading the comedy brigade is Charlie Ruggles as “Public Enemy Number 13.” In the ingenue role is Ida Lupino, lovelier than ever. Clinching the picture’s comedy is Grace Bradley. In addition, there are a hundred lovely show girls. Spectacular scenes, dancing and music are said to make the picture outstanding of its kind.
