COURSING.
EVENTS AT AKURA THIS SATURDAY. The Wairarapa Coursing Club will hold its sixth meeting of the present season at the Akura Enclosure on Saturday, when two events will fce decided, an open stake for the Ryan trophy and a novice stake for the Vincent trophy. Several of the competitors in the open event are also taking part in the Waterloo Cup contest next week and the final try-out of the dogs should be of particular interest, besides providing coursing of a high standard; Advice has been received from Mr, O. G. Ellis, late of Masterton and a keen supporter of the club that at least three dogs from Dannevirke will ba competing in the maiden event. Their presence will give added interest ta this contest. In order to allow the Waterloo Cup competitors to catch the Lyttelton boat on Saturday night a start will be made promptly at 1 The officials are as fbllow:—Judge, A. Ross; slipper, Mr. S. D.
