XIOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to and in exercise of the powers conferred on it by ‘ ’ The Counties Act, 1920,” and “The Rating Act, 1925,” and of all other powers in that behalf enabling it, that the Masterton County Council intends at an Ordinary Meeting of the said Council, to be held in the Council Chambers, Chapel Street, Masterton, on TUESDAY, the 14th day of July, 1936, at 2 p.m., to make and levy the following Rates for the year commenced on the Ist day of April, 1936, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1937. GENERAL RATES. A GENERAL RATES under Sections 120 and 121 of “The Counties Act, 1920,” on the Capital Rateable Value of all Rateable Property appearing on the Valuation Roll of the six respective Ridings of the County as follows: — IN THE OPAKI RIDING, a General Rate of TWELVE-SIXTEENTHS OF ONE PENNY (12-16 d. in the pound sterling. IN THE RANGITUMAU RIDING, a General Rate of ELEVEN-SIX-TEENTHS OF ONE PENNY (11-16 d. in the pound sterling. IN THE UPPER TAUERU RIDING, a General Rate of ONE PENNY (Id.) in the pound sterling. IN THE TE WHITT RIDING, a General Rate of FIVE-EIGHTHS OF ONE PENNY (fd.) in the pound sterling. IN THE URITI RIDING, a General Rate of ONE PENNY AND ONEFOURTH OF ONE PENNY (lid.) in the pound sterling. IN THE WAINUIORU RIDING, a General Rate of ONE PENNY AND ONE-FOURTH OF ONE PENNY (lid.) in the pound sterling. HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID RATE. A RATE under the provisions of Section 52 of “The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926,” of ONE FIFTH OF ONE PENNY (l-5d.) in the pound sterling on the Capital Rateable Value of all Rateable Property in the County of Masterton, such rate being required to meet the contributions payable by the Council to the Wairarapa Hospital Board. SEPARATE RATES. ALSO under the provisions of “The Water Supply Act, 1908,” and Amendments thereto to make and levy Separate Rates for the Maintenance of Water Races within the respective Water Supply Districts as follows:— A SEPARATE RATE OF SEVENTWELFTHS OF ONE PENNY (7-12 d. in the pound sterling on the Capital Rateable Value of all Rateable Property within the UPPER PLAIN WATER SUPPLY SEPARATE RATING DISTRICT No. 1. A SEPARATE BATE OF NINESIXTEENTHS OF ONE PENNY (9-16 d. in the pound sterling on the Capital Rateable Value of all Rateable Property within the OPAKI WATER SUPPLY SEPARATE RATING DISTRICT. A SEPARATE RATE OF ONE-HALF OF ONE PENNY (id.) in the pound sterling on the Capital Rateable Value of all Rateable Property within the TE ORE ORE WATER SUPPLY SEPARATE RATING DISTRICT. SPECIAL RATES. ALSO under the provisions of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,” to collect so much as is required of each of the Annual Recurring Special Rates levied on the Capital Rateable Value of all Rateable Property within the several Special Rating Districts of the County of Masterton to provide the Annual Charges on the Loans raised in the said districts. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that all such Rates shall become payable in one sum at the County Office, Chapel Street, Masterton, on the 29th day of July, 1936. Pursuant to a resolution of the Masterton County Council, a Rebate of Five (5) per cent, will be allowed off the General Rate if all Rates made and levied for the year ended 31st March, 1937, are paid on or before THURSDAY the 13th day of AUGUST, 1936.
