FORESTERS’ AFFAIRS.
MASTERTON LODGE MEETING. The fortnightly meeting of the Foresters ’ Lodge was held on Monday night when there was a fair attendance of members, presided over by C.R., Bro. R. Davies. The sick visitors reported that the members on the sick list were making satisfactory progress. Five brothers were declared on the funds. Bro. W. L. Sharman reported on the Saturday night card games and Bro. R. Davies reported on the U.F.S. Council card tournament. The secretary reported that the annual meeting of the Hospital Association would be held on July 15 in the Foresters’ Hall. Bros. G. Selby and C. A. Leigh were appointed delegates to attend the meeting. C.R. Bro. R. Davies reported on the death of Mrs. T. Knight, the members standing in silence as a mark of respect. The secretary presented the quarterly returns and balance sheet, which showed that the lodge was progressing very satisfactorily, both financially and in regard to membership. Sick pay and accounts amounting to £l5l 19s 2d were passed. The next meeting will be held on Monday, July 20.
