DRAMA LEAGUE.
ABBANGEMENTS FOR COMDMt FESTIVAL. TWELVE ENTRIES RECEIVED, A meeting of the Masterton Drama League aaecutive wa» lebi at the vicarage last night Misa O. R. Sutherland presiding. Final arrangements were made far the festival, which is te be held from July 21 to July 23, inelwsivs. It was reported that 12 entries had been received, three being junior. The plays this year would all be of aa interesting and bright nature and would include several very beautiful period plays.
Mr. T. Handcoek was appointed stage manager and producers were reminded that plans of the stage settings should be in his- hands at Mice. It was agreed that season tickets should .be available at 3s 6d eaeh, this charge being considered very moderate. Boxing would open at Mr. V. Joseph's shop, Queen Street, next Tuesday. Arrangements were made for rehearsals to be held o« Thursday and Friday, July I« and 17, when times would be allotted to each play. The executive expressed its deep predation of the action of Mr. L. Donald, of Wellington, formerly a member of tho Masterton executive and a producer, for the donation of two challenge cups to the Masterton branch of the league, one for the leading team in the senior and one for the leading team m the junior section*,
