REGENT DEFEAT OLD BOYS. Playing in an inter-club badminton match Regent defeated Old Boys by nine games to three. Following are the details, Regent Club players mentioned first in every case:— Combined doubles: Lulham and Miss Bradley beat Clark and 1 Miss Eddy, 21/14; Ross and Miss Dixon lost to McWhinnie and Miss Bright, 21/24; Irvine and Miss Wickens beat Smith and Miss Cohen, 23/20; Wallace and Miss Stalker beat Eastwood and Miss Andrews, 21/9; O’Sullivan and Miss Henderson beat Greer and Miss Boddington, 21/3; Ninnes and Miss Long lost to Dyer and Miss Patrick, 2/21. Ladies’ doubles: Misses Stalker and Dixon beat Misses Eddy and Bright, 15/8; Misses Wickens and Bradley beat Misses Cohen and Andrews, 15/9; Misses Henderson and Long lost to Misses Boddington and Patrick, 9/15.
Men’s doubles: Lulham and Ross beat Clark and McWhinnie, 21/13; Irvine and Wallace beat Smith and Ebstwood, 21/5; O’Sullivan and Ninnes beat Dyer and Greer, 21/14.
