After hearing longthy evidence submitted on behalf of.tha. three parties concerned, the Maaterton Borough Council, the Maaterton County Council and the Mauriceville County Counoil, Mr. Lawry said, that his recommendation would be made known in due course. The commission was held at the petition of the. Masterton County Council. Mr. &.V. Gooding appeared for theMastertoe County Council, Mr. H. Mackenzie, Douglas for the Maaterton Borough Connail, and Mr. C. C. Maraack for the Ifejsriceville County Council. The bridge concerned i* on the main, road: from Master ton to aSauriceville, about- tear miles from Masterton Borough, and five miles from the Mauriceville County boundary.. The basis of apportSenment towards, the cost of the reconstruction of the« present bridge ■was apportioned by the Maaterton County Council at 60 >per cent. Masterton County, 25 per cent. Maaterton Borough, and 15 per-sent. Mauriceville County. The Maetertea Borough Council' and Hie Mauriceville County Council did not agree tu the apportionment of the cost.
