DEATH FOR KIDNAPPING.

MAN SENTENCED IN GERMANY. BERLIN, June 30. Under the retrospective application of a new law, Edward Bottrip was sentenced to death at Bonn for kidnapping a boy of twelve and demanding a ransom. In a letter to the father Bottrip stated that the boy was trussed up in a bath and that the money must arrive before the bath was filled. The police, however, rescued the boy. Bottrip had previously been convicted of a similar offence.
