A concert organised by Mrs. Arch Clark in aid of the British and Foreign Bible Society attracted an audience which filled the Featherston Town Hall on Friday evening and the satisfactory sum of £l7 was realised.

Excellent and varied entertainment was provided. The following was the programme:—Bagpipe selection, ‘Piper John McKenzie; Highland Stratheepey and Reel o’ Tulloch, Mr. Bothwell end troupe; one-act play, “Mechanical Jane,” cast, Mrs. D. H. S. Riddiford and Misses B. and P. Biddifqrd; song, Miss Berill; duet, Miss Harris and Mr. Harris; song, Mr. Keenan; one-act play, “The Best Cure,” cast, Misses Susanne Collins, Shiela Page, Margaret Pearce, Rosamond and Phillipa Riddiford; Highland step dance, Mr. Bothwell and troupe; one-act play, “Hezekiah Helps,” cast, Mrs. J. F. Thompson and Miss Shiela Page. At the close of the performance, Mrs. Clark thanked the audience for their attendance, also the performers, who had come from Masterton, Carterton, Greytown, Featherston and Kahautara. The British and Foreign Bible Society, she said, was an organisation that appealed to all, as it was undenominational and printed and supplied the Bible in all languages when required.
