WOMEN’S DIVISION.

MEETING OF RANGJTUMAU BRANCH. The monthly meeting of the Rangitumau Branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held on Thursday at the residence of the Misses Harvey. Mrs. D. James presided over a good attendance of members. A competition for the best arts and eraft article brought forth some beautiful and useful goods. Mrs. Mortensen’s entry was awarded first prize and Mrs. Ghorley’s second. Mrs. James’s special prize for the best tin of home made biscuits was won by Mrs. Macdonald. The best single bloom for the month was shown by Mrs Chorley and the best three blooms by Miss Duckett. A vote of thanks to the Misses Harvey for the use of their home was carried by acclamation. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames McGovern and H. J. Wilton.
