Maurras, the Royalist leader, was sentenced to eight months ’ imprisonment and fined 200 francs for inciting the murder of M. Blum in recent articles in the 11 Action Franchise” declaring that if M. Blum’s policy should lead .to war, Frenchmen should use carving knives to eliminate him and his followers.
