Y.M.C.A. GARDEN PARTY.
BIG ATTRACTION TO-DAY. The Y.M.C-A. garden party, to be held this afternoon at Mrs. W. Cooper’s residence, “ Kingsyewll, ” Benal> Street, should attract a large attendance of the public folk. No end of trouble is being taken to ensure a successful function, and patrons are assured of an enjoyable * afternoon. Afternoon tea will be jserved under a marquee on the lawn* and here and there amid the trees various stalls and side-shows will be scattered. Mothers will be interested in-the baby competition, which is something quite new to Masterton, and does*, not follow the orthodox lines of a .baby show. Adults generally will be interested in various other such as clock golf, bowls, etc., and the children are to be I well catered for in competitive games .. and stunts, incmdlng a treasure hunt,. The party is to be officially opened byMrs. J. Robertson- at 2.30 p.m., and aA, mission is to ba.free.
