HAUTOTARA SHEEP FAIR.

Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., in conjunction with Messrs Murray Roberts and Co., Ltd., held their second annual sheep fairest Hautotara at Mr. F. McLeod’s yards yesterday, when a good yarding of station-bred ewes and lambs was offered to a representative attendance of buyers from the Wairarapa and Manawatu coasts. The ewes came forward in splendid condition and competition was animated for all lines, Mr. John McLeod’s Whakapuni 2-tooth ewes realising 38s. Following is the range of prices:— Two-tooth ewes: Account John McLeod, 286 at 38/; a/c Estate S. McDougall, 163 at 29/7; a/c Mrs. C. E. Elgar, 121 at 31/; 62 at 28/6; a/c J. McDonald and Sons, 66 at 27/10; a/e A. D; Hathaway, 50 at 27/6; a/c Hon. A. D. McLeod, 101 at 25/6. Maiden 4-tooth ewes: A/c John McLeod, 81 at 37/3. Six-tooth ewes: A/e Robert McLeod, 55 at 32/6. Four-year ewes: A/e J. MacDonald and Sons, 194 at 28/9; a/e Robert McLeod, 60 at 28/. Five-year ewes: A/c Robert McLeod, 241 at 28/; a/c A. D. Hathaway, 201 at 26/3; a/c Estate S. McDougall, 270 at 25/6; a/e A. Ross. 122 at 25/4; a/e R. E. Wall, 99 at 23/1. Six-year ewes: A/e John McLeod, 84 at 22/. Mixed aged ewes: A/c Robert McLeod, 39 at 21/. Woolly wether lambs: A/e J. McDonald and Sons, 131 at 16/1; a/c Hon. A. D. MeLeod, 200 at 15/8. Mixed sex lambs: A/e Hon. A. D. McLeod, 11/10 to 15/10.
