WEDDING.
HENDERSON— EVANS. A wedding of wida interest to a largs> circle of friends throughout New Zealand was celebrated at Knox Church, Masterton, on Wednesday last, when Agnes Jane, second youngest daughter of Mr. Frederick Evans and the Into Mrs. Evans, was married to Eric,, younger son of Mrs. Henderson and: the late Mr. Herbert Henderson, of Auckland. The ceremony was performed by the Rev., John Davie and Mr. Miller-Hope played the wedding music. Miss Edith Ralph gave a beautiful rendering of the hymn "O Perfect Love,” whieh completed to perfection tha fully choral service. The church waa tastefully decorated by friends of tha bride with bowls of hydrangeas, in shades of pink and blue. The bride, escorted by her father, wore a Iwely gown of ivory needlerua lace, flared to form a graceful train. Her long veil of fine embroidered tulle (which was lent by her sister) was arranged on the head' in cap fashion by a half-circlet of orange blossom, with a short eape falling from gathers at the back of the head. She carried a shower bouquet of roses and carnations intermingled with maidenhair f«n..
In attendance l as bridesmaid was Miss Lily Cocker, who wore a charming frock of powder blue needlerun lace cut to form a short train and finished at the waist with a velvet sash ot the same toning. A halt) hat of blue tulle relieved with a posy of pink and blue buds added a delicate touch to this dainty ensemble. She carried a shower ■bouquet of pink earnations, sweet peas an< i gypsophila. As the bridal party left the church they passed under an arch of golf formed by members of the Golf Club, of whieh the bridegroom w a member. The bridegroom was attended by Mr H. B. Massey as best man. Following on the ceremony, a reception was held at the Hotel Midland, where the guests were received by the hostess, Miss E. Fulton, who wore a smart frock of wine coloured cordelenq. with posy to tone. Later the happy couple left by ca» for a tonr of the North Island, She bride wearing a navy and white ensemble, with shoes arid handbag to tone. Mr. and Mrs. Hendereo*’* future home will be in Masteirtofl*.
