DEATH OF KING GEORGE. COUNCIL. MEETING ADJOURNED. It has been suggested, in view of the national calamity that has fallen on the race to-day, that we adjourn the meeting for ten minutes,” observed the Mayor, Mr. T. Jordan, at Tuesday night ’’s meeting of the Borough Council.
The suggestion was agreed to and after councillors had stood in silence out of respect to his late Majesty, the meeting was adjourned for ten minutes. Business -was later proceeded with. •
