THEFT OF FARM LIVESTOCK. HAMILTON, January 20. For the theft of a horse valued at £32, a horse and foal valued at £26, and sixteen cows valued at £4O, WiTliam Alexander'Annan, a labourer, was sentenced to two years' detention on each of three Charges, the sentences to be concurrent. . The accused had taken over a farm on lease, and when the lease was cancelled he sold the stock enumerated in the charge.—(P.A.)
