PROMISING OUTLOOK FOR SHOW. The monthly meeting of the General Committee of the Masterton A. and P. Association was held last evening, the president, Mr. W. James, presiding over a fair attendance of members. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs J. H. Handyside,. J. M. James, W. Kemp and P. R. Welch. The Wairarapa Electric Power Board wrote drawing attention to the liability of danger from the temporary wiring used by sideshowmen and the necessity for the proper control of . same. It was decided to forward all sideshowmen letters advising them to have their electrical gear in order; otherwise they would run the risk of not being connected up with the power supply. Accounts amounting to £307 6s 6d were passed. Eight new members were elected and one resignation, owing to leaving the district, was received. The caretaker, in his report to the Ground Committee, stated that various improvement works had been carried out and also that the annuals had all been planted out. He had also discontinued cutting the golf greens owing to the termination of the season. The Finance Committee’s report intimated that the Wellington canvass would be carried out by the whole of the Finance Committee.

•it was decided that invitations to attend the forthcoming Show be extended to His Excellency the GovernorGeneral, the Prime Minister and members of the Cabinet.

The chairman said that’ theta was every indication that the forthcoming show would prove a great success and urged members to use every effort to that end. The season was a good one with abundance of feed and it looked as if there would be record entries, especially in the fat stock classes.
