CALF REARING.

JUDGING AT FEATHERSTON.

The Featherston Calf Club held its annual calf competitions on Monday afternoon, when nearly 30 competitors, with their calves, paraded before the judge, Mr. Don Stewart, of Rangituman, Masterton. The results of the competitions were as follow:—

Type.—Robert Stark (South Feath erston), 1; Betty Stark (South Feath erston), 2; D. Fellingham (Feather ston), 3; Betty Murphy (Featherston) 4.

D. P. Clarke’s Prizes (Jerseys): Nancy Burt (Kaiwaiwai), 1; George Fellingham, 2; David Fellingham, 3; Basil Woodfield, 4. Mr. Fellingham’s Prize: Walter Juno, 1; Reba Fellingham, 2; David Fellingham, 3; Basil Woodfield, 4. Record Books: Margaret Foss (South Featherston), 1; Hazel Lumsden (South Featherston), 2. The cup for the most points gained by any one school was again won by South Featherston by a big margin.
