RACING TROPHY.
VIVIAN RIDDIFORD MEMORIAL GUP. A' beautiful sterling silver cup, standing eighteen inches high, presented to the Masterton Racing Chib by Mrs. Vivian Riddiford is at present on exhibition in the window of Mr. L. S. Nicol, Queen Street. The trophy, which is a replica on a larger seale of the gold cap presented to the Racing Conference by the Duke of Gloucester, will be competed for on the first day of the Masterton Club’s spring meeting on Friday, October 18. It stands on a massive ebony base and is inscribed as follows: —“Masterton Racing Chib. Vivian Riddiford Memorial Cup. Presented by Mrs. Vivian Riddiford, 1935.” The cup is valued at £lOO and goes to the winner of the Vivian Riddiford Memorial Cap Handicap, of £2OO.
