TARRANTS TEAM.
SOME NOTABLE PLAYERS EXCLUDED. MELBOURNE, August 9. The secretary of the Australian Board of Control (Mr. W. H. Jeanes) has informed Mr. Frank Tarrant that the board has agreed to the addition of R. K Oxenham, Wendel Bill, and F. Mair to the team for India. The full team of fifteen players has now been approved by the board.
Obviously the board has again refused to sanction the inclusion of Woodfull, Ponsford, Kippax, Chilvers, Rigg and Nitschke. (The full team is as follows:—J. Ryder, H. Ironmonger, A. Allsopp, C. Maceartney, H. Hendry, J. Ellis, T. Leather, H. Love, R. Bryant, R. Morrisby, L. Nagel, H. Alexander, R. K. Oxenham, Wendel Bill, and F. Mair.)'
