WOMAN KILLED.
ACCIDENT ON HUTT ROAD. WELLINGTON, August 9. As the result of a motor accident on the Hutt Road this afternoon, J. Devins, a seaman, of Wellington was admitted to hospital suffering from severe shock and his wife, who was stated to have been flung through the windscreen of the car died in an ambulance on her way to hospital. The accident occurred when the car Devins was driving struck a bank at the side of the road. Mrs. Devins received severe head injuries.—(PA.)
