MAURICEVILLE WEST. ("The Age” Special.) Following is the Mauriceville West Golf Club’s team to play a match against Mangamahoe during the weekend: Misses R. Mortensen, C. Palmer, Mrs- Freeman, Miss D. Palmer, Mrs O. Mortensen, Miss E. Milner and Mrs McCauley, Mrs Mcßae; Messrs C. Nielsen, G. Mcßae, D. Johansen, T. Western, H. Freeman, M. J. Nielsen, H. Mortensen, N. Williams, B. Donaldsen, D. Freeman, R. Nielsen, F. Anderson. Any player not available is asked to notify the Club captain immediately. At a recent meeting of the Memorial Hall, subscribers the following social committee was elected: Mrs O. Mortensen, Misses D. Palmer and V. Mortensen, and Messrs R. Bishop, H. Mortensen, R. Nielsen and D. Johansen. k Mr. and Mrs J. Williams have returned from a motor tour of Auckland districts.
Miss D. Palmer and Mr. R. Palmer spent the week-end with relatives in Ashhurst.
The many friends of Mrs Manihera will be pleased to hear her mother, Mrs Seymour, is making satisfactory progress towards recovery. A very painful accident befel the 13-months-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs Webby recently, when she pulled from the stove a pot of boiling water. Her back and arm were badly scalded. She received medical attention and was admitted to the Masterton Hospital for treatment.
