SEVERE EARTHQUAKE.
JAPANESE TOWNS SHAKEN PEOPLE RUSH FROM HOUSES. TOKIO, May 30. A severe earthquake at 3.45 o'clock this morning shook Taichu and Shinchiku. The populace rushed out of doors in the darkness. The extent of the casualties is at present unknown.
