SOUTH WAIRARAPA VACANCY. MB. T. A. HERRICK RETURNED. An election was held yesterday to fill the extraordinary vacancy on the South Wairarapa River Board caused t>y the death of Mr. Allan Donald. There were three candidates, the successful one being Mr. T. A. Herrick. TJie voting at the four polling booths follows wR. A. Donald, 13; T. ‘A. Herrick, 10; E. C. Holmes, 16. Kahautara: Donald, 0; Herrick, 29; Holmes, 13. Pirinoa: Donald, 2; Herrick, 48; Holmes, 6. Waiorongomai: Donald, 0; Holmes, 0; Herrick, 21. Totals: Donald, 15; Herrick 98 (elected); Holmes, 35.
