LEAGUE OF MOTHERS.

MEETING AT FEATHERSTON. The Featherston League of Mothers held its first meeting of the year yesterday. There wae a very large attendance of members and the president, Mrs. Arch Clark, presided. Mrs. Florence Porter, of Wellington, who has been a vice-president of the League of. Mothers since its inception, was the principal speaker.: Mrs. Porter, who is organising secretary for the British and Foreign Bible Society, gave a most interesting and informative address on the work of the Bible Society in India and other foreign countries. She impressed on mothers the need for giving their children instruction on the Bible. Afternoon tea was provided by Mesdames Clark, W. Willis and 8. Burt.
