Masterton: Miss R. Robinson reported as follows for the 24 hours ended 6 a.m. yesterday:—Barograph, 30.47; shade temperature, maximum, 65.4; minimum, 43; terrestrial, 38; sunshine, 3 hours 6 minutes.
The Government Meteorologist (Dr. E. Kidson) reported at 4 p.m. yesterday as follows:—An intense anticyclone covers the Tasman Sea and New Zealand, the (pressure is falling over south-eastern Australia. Forecast: Winds, south-west to south-east mainly light to moderate but strong ait first in parts of the Cook Strait area and on the east coast of the North Island. Weather: Some scattered passing showers in the extreme north and northeast, otherwise fine; temperatures cool to moderate.
