WEDDING.
DIXON—GARDNER. The wedding was celebrated at Knox Presbyterian Church on Saturday, of Rita Eileen, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Gardner, Elizabeth Street, to Harold Owen Ralph, only son of Mr. and Mrs. T. A. H. Dixon, Pownall Street. The Rev. JohnJDavie officiated and Mr. C. W, Kerry presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a smart blue crepe morocain frock trimmed with accordion pleating, and grey hat and skin shoes to tone. She carried a posy of blue asters, hydrangeas, delphiniums and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaid, Miss Pop Dixon (sister of the bridegroom) wore a brown morocain frock relieved with fancy appliqued lime sleeves, brown hat and shoes, and carried a posy of helliums, golden red and maidenhair fern. The duties of best man were capably carried out by Mr. Lewis Hack. The reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents, Mrs. Gardner receiving the guests in a wine ensemble with hat' to tone. She carried a posy of dahlias and autumn leaves. Mrs. Dixon (mother of the bridegroom) wore a flowered navy ensemble and navy hat and carried a posy of salvia bonfires and maidenhair fern. Later the happy couple left by car for the north, the bride travelling in a blue ensemble.
