ORCHESTRAL SOCIETY.

FIRST PRACTICE TO-NIGHT. The Masterton Orchestral Society, which has provided the public with some excellent musical entertainment for several years past, will hold its first practice of the season in the Savage Club Rooms this evening, starting at 7.36 o’clock. The society is urgently in need of more practical support and instrumentalists wishing to join the orchestra are invited to attend this evening’s practice, so that the conductor, Mr. J. Candy, will have an assurance that the orchestra will be able to maintain its high standard of previous years. Last year the orchestra lost one or two of its most treasured performers and their services will be greatly missed.
