WEATHER REPORTS.

Masterton: Mias R. Robinson reported as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday:—Barograph, 30.20; shade temperature, maximum, 78; minimum, 58; terrestrial, 55.4; sunshine, 4 hours 54 minutes. Mr. F. C. Cotter, Te Wharau, reports that 447 points of rain were registered at Te Wharau during February. Rain fell on 15 days during the month. The maximum fall was 182 points on February 7. The Government Meteorologist (Dr. E. Kidaon) reported at 4 p.m. yesterday as follow:— An intense anticyclone covers the Tasman Bea and is moving on to New Zealand. Forecast: Winds, moderate to strong south-west to south-east, decreasing to-morrow. Weather: Cloudy along East Coast, with some scattered showers; a few passing showers also in far north; improving to-morrow and elsewhere fine. Temperatures moderate. Sun rises, 6.4 a.m.; sets, 7.1 p.m. Lighting-up time, 7.31 p.m.
